CHAKRA

According to Wikipedia “Chakra (/ˈtʃakra/), Western adaptation of the term Sanskrit transliterated as a chakra it means a "wheel", a "disc" or a "circle".

Its significance in the religious traditions of theIndia it covers two main areas:

  • that of a "circle" or a mystical "diagram", a notion that can be superimposed on that of yantras or of maṇḍala;

  • the one inherent in yoga and Ayurvedic medicine originating from the traditions tantric, both of theHinduism both of Buddhism; in the most common sense it is usually also rendered with "center", to indicate those elements of the slim body in which divine energy is believed to reside latently.”

The chakras, therefore, are energy centers, the energy connection between the physical and the etheric body, therefore energetic or spiritual. The physical body is made up of skin, bones, muscles, nerves, organs, and fluids, as well as thoughts and beliefs. The etheric body is made up of energy, spirituality, emotions and connection to the higher realms. These different aspects meet in the chakras. Our body is physical, as is the rational thinking part of the mind. The emotional part of the mind and the spirit are etheric in nature and are connected into a single whole by the chakras.

According to some belief systems, and also according to yogis, the 7 main chakra energy centers run through the body along the spine and are associated with specific energies, body parts and emotional, mental and spiritual issues.

Each chakra is associated with a color and certain qualities or abilities. We are going here to give some information on each chakra and report only some of the crystals associated with them (for a more exhaustive list of crystals, refer to the appropriate section "Crystals and Colors".

Its color is red and its main quality is rooting, it is also linked to the connection with emotions, the need to find one's place in groups, even family ones, to safety and protection. And crystals related to the first chakra are those that are naturally red (garnet, red calcite, red jasper…)
